    Concept & Vision

Every massive street illusion begins with a spark of an idea and a single pencil stroke in Benjamin's sketchbook. We brainstorm concept and illustration sketch ideas with the client to develop a vision that resonates with the event theme or brand story.

    The Anamorphic Blueprint

Next, we refine the actual illustration and draw it to perspective to perfectly match the space and physical location. This involves complex mathematical calculations to ensure the 3D illusion works flawlessly from the intended viewing point.

    On-Site Gridding

Arriving at the location, we begin by gridding out the perspective lines directly on site. This 'skeleton' is the foundation of the piece, allowing us to translate the distorted drawing to a massive scale with pinpoint accuracy on the pavement.

    Layering the Chalk

Then, we layer the chalk over the next 5 hours or 3 days—rain or shine. We use professional pastels and blend them by hand to create rich textures and vibrant colors, working through the elements to bring the window to another world to life.

    Photography & Interaction

Lastly, we photograph the final piece from the 'sweet spot' and share it with the crowds. Visitors love to take their pictures interacting with the illusion, becoming part of the temporary masterpiece themselves.

    A Shared Memory

Street painting is a performance art. We love mingling with the public, explaining the process, and witnessing the joy as people discover the illusion for the first time. It's about creating a memory that lasts long after the rain washes the chalk away.
